Wolf boy is welcomed home by his mother after years in the wild

One day a Romanian shepherd who was walking in a forest found a young boy. The boy was was very weak and he was sitting naked in a box, in an animal position. The shepherd tried to talk to him but the boy forgot how to speak.

He took the boy to the hospital immediately. Doctors said that he was very sick and almost died! They said he couldn’t have survived alone. They thought that wild dogs from the forest took care of him. The hospital workers gave him the nickname “Mowgli” like the character in The Jungle Book. He became violent when he was hungry and went to sleep under the bed.

Two months later his mother saw him in the news on television. She said “That’s my son!” She said that she ran away from home three years before because her husband used to beat her. When she ran away “Mowgli” was only four years old. She tried to take her boy with her but her husband didn’t allow her to. She believed that her son “Mowgli”, also ran away because his father beat him.

The mother took her son home for the first time, after he lived many years with wild animals in the forest. “He is now learning how to behave well,” said Dr Florea. “With the right care, he can learn how to become a normal person.”

At last, the young boy can live a normal life, with a normal family.
